Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company (NC)
On June 27, 2019, Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company was placed into Rehabilitation by the Superior Court of Wake County, North Carolina. A moratorium order has prohibited most surrenders, loans, or annuitizations.
On December 30, 2022, the Superior Court of Wake County, North Carolina, issued an Order granting the petition for liquidation of Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company (CBLIC), pending the outcome of appeals. Thereafter the Liquidation Order will become effective month-end 90 days after the conclusion of all appeals.
As of August 23, 2024, all appeals have been resolved. The Liquidation Order will become effective on November 30, 2024.
The rehabilitation of Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company will continue, with the Receivership Court retaining jurisdiction over the rehabilitation until November 30, 2024, the liquidation effective date.
